C-Flap Batter Protection
Markwort's C-Flap Batter Protection is intended to protect the cheek and jaw. Simply attaches to the ear flap of the batting helmet covering the portion of the face that is open to the pitcher without obstructing vision or air flow. The original inventor in the 80’s was a Dr.Robert Crow. He was a team doctor forthe Atlanta Braves. Markwort purchasedthe rights to the C-Flap from him and still owns the patent today.
The C-flap is a plastic attachment thatis added to the helmet by the consumer to help prevent facial fractures. It attaches to the ear flap of thehelmet. The manufacturer also now makesa helmet that has this attachment included. It isvery commonly used in professional baseball.
